Our two well-maintained fishing lakes provide the perfect place to unwind, enjoy nature, and experience excellent coarse fishing throughout the year. Whether you’re a seasoned match angler or simply looking for a quiet day by the water, Staunton Court has something for everyone.

The Match Lake

The Match Lake is designed with both pleasure and competition fishing in mind. With approximately 20 well-spaced pegs, it offers a fantastic venue for club and private match bookings, as well as public competitions. When matches are not taking place, the lake is open for day fishing — giving visitors the chance to enjoy the same well-stocked waters in a peaceful environment.
Expect a rewarding day’s fishing, with a variety of species and plenty of activity throughout the year.

The Front Lake

For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the Front Lake is open at all times and never booked for matches. It’s perfect for leisure anglers who simply want to cast a line and enjoy the calm surroundings. The lake is easily accessible, with convenient parking right alongside the water’s edge — so you can set up your spot with ease and comfort.

Opening Times

Staunton Court’s fishing lakes are open year-round, welcoming visitors from 7:00am to 6:30pm (or until dusk, whichever is sooner). Whether you prefer early morning tranquillity or an afternoon session in the sunshine, you can enjoy fishing here in every season.

Fish Stock

Both lakes are well stocked with a diverse range of fish including Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Chub, Crucians, and Eels — offering plenty of opportunity for an exciting and varied catch.

Payment

Fishing couldn’t be simpler. Just park up by the lakeside, and a member of our friendly team will come by to collect your payment.
